BIOGRAPHICAL PROJECTS
Keep it for yourself and for history
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As fate would have it, it so happened that in addition to my main activity in the field of photography, i.e. preparing original albums, for several years I started working on family histories, personal biographies and family histories.
I probably gained the basic skills in this area from working (many years ago) at the Museum of the History of Photography in Krakow, where I worked as an archivist and I passed through many old photographs.
From that period, I had a deep conviction that photographs should be described IMMEDIATELY - here
and now - because when the last person who can recognize people in the photos dies, it will be too late.
Please describe the photos - here and now, immediately - "it's later than it seems" (Baptiste Beaulieu).
In recent years, I have been lucky enough to create biographical books that remain a record of people's stories and their fates.
In the years 2010-2016, I edited, developed and designed a biographical book of the Dominican Father Mario Roko Marinov, prior of the Dominican monastery in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar in Croatia (link to the e-book below).
► Moj zlatni jubilej
In the years 2014-2024, I prepared the history of my family, the culmination of this work is a family saga, numbering 424 pages, containing over 1,700 photos and documents. This book is available from the resources of the National Library and the Jagiellonian Library (link to the e-book below).
► JAROSZEWSCY everything I know about my family
I am currently (since the beginning of 2024) searching for and compiling information about the outstanding Krakow artist Jerzy Brataniec, who died suddenly in 2013. The result of the current work will be another biography, commemoration of the artist and the preservation of another history.
I am currently engaged in such biographical research.
If you have family archives, collections of photos and documents, and you do not know what to do with them or how to preserve them for future generations, please contact me, I will help you save these family stories.
Don't let history get lost! This is too precious! For you and your loved ones, and for others too!
And who knows, maybe your home archives contain materials that are important not only for you, but also for Poland, for our common history? This happened to me and my search brought unexpected, surprising results (please see my story in the link to the e-book).
I undertake:
1. Organizing your family archives
2. Scanning (or photographing/reproducing) archival materials
3. Creation of a coherent catalog in a digital version
4. Searches on the Internet / in archives / in available sources of additional information
5. Developing the book's script/narrative
6. Preparation of a graphic design for a biographical book (or materials for Facebook/Wikipedia) as well as comprehensive DTP/Prepress preparation of the book for printing and production supervision

I leave this sentence to you.
